Must-Have Marketing Book

If you consider yourself a marketer in 2015, you need to know all of the information this book shares. This book is great. I highly recommend it for any interested in the future of marketing and/or digital marketing in general. I will continue to use this book as a resource as I educate myself on these topics.

Really good investment of your time and (minimal) money

The author contacted me for an honest review of a free book he gifted me with because I have an online business and have been active on Linked In and elsewhere, asking and answering questions about many of these questions. I am a big fan of good content, like Online Email Marketing by Ian Brodie, and I am also a fan of comprehensive books instead of grabbing "freebies." You are not going to have a successful business by attending every free webinar. The quality of the content is uneven at the best of times and it is nearly always (Brodie excepted) tainted by the presenter's agenda of getting you to buy in to their multi-thousand-dollar program. Trying to run a real business with bits and bobs of dubious direction is a prescription for failure. And those free e-books that are the Lead Magnet to get you to sign up and waste an hour listening to a thinly-veiled sales pitch? Uniformly useless, thrown together in a short period of time, designed for maximum enticement and minimal or no actual usable content. If that trend could die a well-deserved death, I'll be thrilled. That's why I was interested in this book - hoping for some real content.
Why do I love it?
> It's comprehensive. ALL of the subjects that I want to know about, including some different takes on subjects I know a lot about.
> it's accurate, in the areas where I know what I'm doing.
> the author knows how to teach. You learn step-by-step, with the right amount of material at a time. [You can always tell the newbie writers: it's just a brain dump - useless.]
> you learn how/why - theory - and then you get into how to do it.
If you start at the beginning and work your way through to the end, like I did, you will have an excellent blueprint for a better online presence. I have read it through once and am now working through the parts that I really need help with, slowly and carefully. To paraphrase the author, thinking about it won't make you rich; you have to take effective action.

Valuable and Necessary to Own This Marketing Resource!

This comprehensive book about online marketing is exactly the place to start for the beginning entrepeneur who needs direction and guidance about how to handle this online marketing "stuff." This book discusses everything there is to know at this moment in time about marketing, including lead generation, conversion, digital content creation tools, automation, email marketing, SEO, and social media and other such platforms. And don't forget web metrics and analytics! This book has everything you might need to make basic decisions about what platforms to use and where to find the right information to learn how to use the suggested platforms.
I wish I had a book like this when I first began the entrepeneur journey and looked to create digital content online. I could have saved myself a great deal of time on the learning curve. As things currently stand, I'm glad that I've found the book now, because it provides me with all the other pieces to the online marketing puzzle that I had missed on my first few passes.
I applaud the author's consideration in providing two useful appendices: internet networking basics and website basics. I had to learn what most of these topics and terms meant on my own; others will treasure the resource that this book is.
For those readers who are interested, I have communicated with the author during my reading of the book, and I found him easily accessible and responsive to my questions. I signed up for his newsletter [...], and I have enjoyed the email information that I have received to date.
